MyRacehorse Empire
1. Eligibility:
The competition is open to residents of Australia, 18 years and over.
Participants must be registered customers of MyRacehorse.
2. Competition Period:
The MyRacehorse Empire competition period begins on 1 February 2024 and concludes at 11:59 pm AEST on 31 July 2024
3. Leaderboard Points:
Participants can earn points on the leaderboard as follows:
Purchase Points
Buying a Share
1 point for every share purchased. Capped at 5 points per horse.
Race Points
Standard Race:
1st place: 30 points
2nd place: 20 points
3rd place: 10 points
Racing (regardless of position): 5 points
Stakes Race:
1st place: 60 points
2nd place: 40 points
3rd place: 20 points
Racing (regardless of position): 10 points
Examples:
If you own a horse that wins a Stakes race, (irrespective of number of shares owned) total points = 70 (60 points for winning, + 10 points for competing).
If you purchase 5 x shares in a horse available on myracehorse.com total points = 5.
If your horse runs 4th in a standard race = 5 points
*Shares that have been refunded will NOT receive Purchase Points.
4. Major Prize:
The Major Prize Winner will be determined as the owner with the highest accumulated points on the official leaderboard during the competition period.
The Major Prize is a 2025 Magic Millions experience on the Gold Coast for two people, including flights (from the winner’s nearest capital city), three night’s accommodation and race day tickets.
The value of the Magic Millions experience is up to $5,000.
The Major Prize Winner will have the opportunity to win a Jackpot Prize of up to $100,000 through a selection process involving 10 trophies. The Major Prize Winner is guaranteed a minimum of $10,000.
The value of the jackpot prize is maximum $100,000.
The total value of the Major Prize pool is up to $105,000.
5. Selection of Jackpot Prize:
10 trophies will be placed on a table.
The Major Prize Winner will select one trophy to turn over.
Under 9 of the trophies, there will be $10,000.
Under the remaining trophy, there will be the bonus prize of $100,000.
The Major Prize Winner is guaranteed to win at least $10,000 but may win $100,000.
6. Minor Prizes:
The next 9 placings on the leaderboard, following the Major Prize Winner, will be deemed Minor Prize Winners.
Each Minor Prize Winner will receive a MyRacehorse Merchandise pack valued at $100.
The value of the Minor Prize pool is $900.
7. Total Prize Pool:
The total prize pool of EMPIRE is valued at $105,900.
8. Notification of Winners:
Winners will be notified by MyRacehorse via email and phone by 6 August 2024.
The Major Prize Winner must respond by 11.59pm (AEST) Tuesday, 13 August, 2024 to claim the prize. If the prize isn’t claimed by 13 August 2024, the prize will be classified as ‘unclaimed’, and the next highest point earner will automatically become the major prize winner. In this situation, the next highest point earner (second) will have seven (7) days to claim the prize. If the prize isn’t claimed by 20 August 2024 by second placing, the prize will be classified as ‘unclaimed’ and the process will be repeated where the next highest point scorer (third) will become the major prize winner and have seven days to claim their prize. Once the Major Prize is “Claimed” the process will be discontinued. In the event that there is a tie between multiple players for the unclaimed prize, for example there are two players equal second, the ‘Countback’ rules (see below) will apply to select the new major prize winner.
Winners will be published on MyRacehorse.com by 5pm (AEST) September 1, 2024.
By participating, winners agree to the use of their names and images for promotional purposes related to the competition.
The Major Prize Winner will be required to attend the Jackpot Draw in person or nominate a proxy to attend in their place. The draw will be conducted on 11am (AEST) on Tuesday 20 August, 2024.
If there are any tied placings (whether for the Major or Minor prize winners) the following countback rules will apply between the tied parties:
The prize winner will be the customer with the highest points re-calculated by multiplying the race win points of a horse by the number of shares owned in the horse (removing the 5 x multiplier cap). For example, a customer with 20 shares in the horse will have a 20x multiplier applied to the race win points as part of the countback process.
If the parties are still drawn following the uncapped countback they will be entered into a draw by random generator to select one party as the prize winner.
Unclaimed Prizes
If the Major Prize is unclaimed, the next highest point scorer will be classified as the Major Prize winner, there will be no ‘unclaimed’ prize draw. Major and Minor Prizes will be published on MyRacehorse.com/empire by 5pm (AEST) September 1, 2024.
9. General Terms:
The Promoter of the competition is MyRacehorse Pty Ltd (ABN 53 643 461 590). 175 Melbourne St, South Brisbane QLD 4101
MyRacehorse reserves the right to modify or cancel the competition in the event of unforeseen circumstances. If for any reason any aspect of this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion and invalidate any affected entries, or suspend or modify a prize, subject to State or Territory regulation.
The competition is subject to all applicable laws and regulations.
The competition is governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
