TONY & CALVIN MCEVOY OWNERS REVIEW: 4.9 STARS (564 REVIEWS), view here.
2YO filly by Zoustar, who has been to the trials last Spring, and again recently, now targeting the Adelaide Carnival.
This filly has an impressive pedigree. She is by the champion 1st, 2nd and 3rd season sire Zoustar who is the sire of champion racehorse Sunlight. The McEvoy stable loves Zoustar's, with Sunlight being trained by the team. There is great depth in her pedigree as she is out of a Stakes Winner who is out of another stakes winner. Her dam Ready To Prophet was a very talented mare who amassed $297,820 in prize money. During her career, she had beaten handy mares Mizzy and Madam Rouge.
This quality pedigree will enhance her residual value as a broodmare at the end of her racing career. This Zoustar filly has completed her breaking process and is now doing a terrific job advancing her training with even time work and barrier work. She has already completed multiple preparations in ripping form, the team couldn't be happier with the way she has progressed and taken to her work.
"Immediately, when I opened the catalogue, I was drawn to this filly because her mother was a stakes winner and her grandmother was a stakes winner in America as well, so Stakes Winner, Stakes Winner all goes well for this filly to be a Stakes Winner." - Damon Gabbedy, Belmont Bloodstock.
This filly is an impeccable type and a real stand-out from the sale. She is a beautiful medium-sized filly with lovely movement. This filly is a real athlete and has a great swagger about her as she walked the house down. She handled the sales preparation unbelievably well as she had a great attitude and was a very relaxed filly. Physically she has everything required to make it as an early 2yo. We look forward to having her broken in and beginning her education as a racehorse.
"I've had a bit to do with Zoustar's, with the champion mare in my stable Sunlight. This girl is just a quality filly, the depth of pedigree she's got being out of a Stakes Winner when you're buying these fillies you need a little bit of residual." - Tony McEvoy, Trainer.
We absolutely love this filly and can't wait to take you on this journey. There is every chance this filly could get to the Magic Millions 2yo Classic and follow in Infatuation's footsteps.
