Scam

So, here's what it really is. When you purchase micro shares you become a owner. Hah. They dont tell you that if your horse is off a while that when he or she wins a race, usually there is no money to pay the "owners"

MyRacehorse Hi Dave, Sorry to hear about your disappointment in the program. The one time out of pocket payment program for owners which MRH operates under has been widely appreciated by the majority of our owners. The economics of racing are extremely difficult. On average it costs between $50-60k per year to keep a horse in training, insured, etc. Most often horse's won't earn enough purse money on the track to pay their bills. That's where the benefits of our program and structure kick in. Our offerings generally include two years of training and care costs to pay for those initial months and years of projected expenses. As that account naturally depletes over time we do start utilizing race day earnings to ensure there is enough money in the account to continue caring for and racing the horse. There are a few important items to point out. First, any money that isn't used in the account always gets distributed back out to the owners when the horse's career is over. Second, unlike most other partnerships there are no additional payments due after your initial purchase. In other ownership setups owners will continually pay out of pocket for their portion of training and care costs. So under our program if a horse can't earn enough purse money on the track and its decided by the company to continue racing, the company is on the hook for any negative balance. We feel like that's a win-win for our owners.

My husband bought me a gift card to MRH for Christmas a couple of years ago, and I have been enjoying it ever since. I currently have six horses in my stable, and truly enjoy watching their progress and betting on them. We also went to the owner’s experience in Ocala in January, and thoroughly enjoyed the day. I would highly recommend MRH to anyone who enjoys horse racing.

MyRacehorse Hi Kelly, Thanks for sharing your experience and for your support of the MRH program. Hope to see you out at the track soon!

So much fun!

There's a lot of online chatter about what a rip off My Racehorse is. I couldn't disagree more! The entertainment value and learning about what it takes to get a 2 year old to the track is well worth the cost. My Racehorse does an excellent job with all the updates, trainer /jockey interviews, and race day events. The actual races are just icing on the cake for me. Wife and I made some great memories going to Saratoga for Rosie's Alibi"s debut, and the thrill of seeing her win at Parx is something we'll never forget! No, you're not going to make any money, but if you love horses and horse racing My Racehorse is a must!

MyRacehorse Hi Robert, Thanks for your kind words. Our team had a great time alongside you at Saratoga for Rosie's Alibi last summer. Knowing that the realities of racing bring us more setbacks and frustrations than we'd care for we consistently strive to provide our owners with the best experience through the app content (updates, videos, educational moments) and at the track on race days as possible. While you're correct that most horses will not turn a profit (a tough but real industry fact) it certainly is possible. Last fall our two time Grade 1 winner and Breeders' Cup participant Going to Vegas sold for $1.5 million and returned a 54 percent profit to her partners. Back in 2020 we also sold another one of our Grade 1 winning fillies, Street Band, for $1 million. So while not to always be expected, we do have a track record at producing these types of positive returns and experiences for our partners.

Great Time in Ocala

My wife Rica and I had a wonderful time at the Ocala Two Year Old Showcase. We attended last year's event and we noticed some enhancements for this year such as the impromptu gift shop with Myracehorse items, complimentary photos of MRH 2-year-olds and best of all, the "up close and personal" time with the horses at their stalls. We were able to take good photos of our horses, Secret Crush and Seize the Grey. It was delightful watching Crush trying to figure out what to do with the carrot. We had opportunities to talk to Kieran and the two Joes (Moran and Mishak), Then to top it all, we had a Watch Party to cheer Balletic on to her maiden victory! Everything was PERFECT... except perhaps for the hosts not having a working microphone.... :)

MyRacehorse Hi Jamie, So great to hear about your OBS Showcase experience. It's a highlight of the year and enjoyed by all partners and staff alike. Hope to see you guys at the track soon!

Ocala 2 yr-old Showcase 2023

We visited the OBS grounds in Ocala to spend the day with the MyRacehorse 2 yr olds in training and their owners. Showcase day was an incredible experience from start to finish. The staff, facilities and horses didn't disappoint! Everything was well organized, flowed nicely and was delightful right down to the box lunch. We were thrilled to be able to meet all the showcase horses up close in their stalls after viewing their morning workout. My wife even had her hair tasted by our filly (Lady Blitz) while we were petting and taking pictures with her. The barn visit was amazing and the staff engaged all questions and made us feel like millionaires. Thanks to all who made this day and future events possible, right down to the hot-walkers and beyond. MyRacehorse is a very classy operation and I highly recommend getting involved.

MyRacehorse Hi Rob, So amazing to hear that you and your wife had a great time at the OBS Showcase. It's a great event for all involved and there's nothing like getting to see your horse's up close and in person. Hope to see you out at the track soon!

Watching Balletic win today was amazing! I have been going o the races since I was 5 and only dreamed of owning a horse. MRH made a dream a reality! I am thankful for the opportunity! I wish I could’ve been at Gulfstream today to greet her in the winner circle, I’ll hope she stays on track and see her in NY! I live close to Saratoga so the hope is to see her there in the winner circle. I am so proud of her! I consider myself blessed and fortunate! It’s still surreal! Thank you to the entire team!

Timely Notice

I wish we could learn sooner than the last moment if we have won a place in the lottery to attend an event. I live in Arizona. I recently went to view Straight No Chaser run at Santa Anita. For me and probably for others, it meant reserving a hotel room and getting there by some form of transportation in advance of the race. I would like to attend events in other parts of the USA; however, I hesitate to make hotel and airplane reservations without knowing if I am in the MRH group event or not. It would be appreciated if a timelier advance notice could be given to the winners of the lottery. That said, I have enjoyed those MRH events that I did attend.

MyRacehorse Robert, We're glad to hear your enjoying our race day events at the track. They're a lot of fun and hit with fellow MRH partners. With most horses only officially being entered a few days prior to the actual race, our notifications on lottery results are about as timely as we can possibly be. That being said we're always looking at ways to increase the ownership experience and will look at any additional ways to improve on those communications. Thank You!

Mixed feelings

Don’t get me wrong I’ve enjoyed the ownership of several horses. But what I don’t enjoy is the negative comments in the feeds. A lot of horses we had hopes in going to very small claiming races I know that’s part of the game but it is disheartening. I had no illusions about making any kind of money I just enjoyed watching my horses run. But I feel at this time it’s not a good fit for me so unless I see something I really like and horses up to have a ownership in iamb just gonna write out what I have currently. All I can say is best of luck to everyone and their horses may they be safe and well taken care of.

MyRacehorse Hi Pamela, Thank you for reaching out and sharing your opinions and feedback with us. We do understand that some partners do not like competing in claiming races and we agree it’s tough to not build a bond with each horse and it can be tough to see them get claimed away. The reality is that this is one of the most challenging dynamics our team must navigate; balancing the desire to keep our horses in the stable so the owners can enjoy and race them and when to make them available in claiming races or even a sale/auction. That matter is often further complicated as we often have partners in the horse itself and we want to ensure were a good partner with these very important stakeholders as well. There is this ongoing balance between the economics of managing your thoroughbred and ensuring he or she can remain in the stable. Claiming is probably the toughest to navigates, especially in North America. As you may know we have a large stable across the Unites States, the United Kingdom and Australia, managing well over 120 horses for well over 50,000 owners. Our core principle is to put the horse first, the well-being of the horse will always be our primary priority, on and off the track. Our second priority is to maximize the ownership experience by balancing the perks of ownership (content, access to the horse, race day privileges) and the investment (purse money, expense management ad resale value). Over 2/3rd’s of races run in North America are claiming races so odds are most horses find themselves competing in claiming races regardless of initial expectations or purchase price. There are many good owners and trainers that depend on claiming races to operate their stables and those that have been claimed from us having competed in many subsequent races. We are always looking to improve our owner experience and will pass along your feedback to our management team.

Horses win but jocks, trainers, touts keep the green

MyRacehorse Hi Jim, Thank you for reaching out and sharing your opinions and feedback with us. We're glad to hear you're having fun! Racehorse ownership is one of the most thrilling experiences some will ever engage in and one of the most unique journeys for many. It is a high risk, high reward business, and while we've made ownership more affordable for many, we haven't reduced the risk. Most horses do not even earn enough money on the race track to cover their training expenses (that is the harsh reality of the game we all love). However, if you are lucky enough with MyRacehorse to select a profitable one, we have structured your investment in a manner that allows us to distribute the profits to you on a pro-rata basis. Many alternative ownership concepts have to cap their returns based on the amount you invested in abiding by securities laws and regulations, but at MyRacehorse, we are offering securities qualified with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, allowing us to share the profits with our investors more fully. One of the most popular attributes of the MyRacehorse ownership model is that you can never lose more than you invest.

Fun at Santa Anita

I became involved as an owner about 18 months ago and was able to attend the races at Santa Anita recently. Since we have to plan travel much further ahead than the entries are taken we were lucky to see Straight No Chaser run on 2/5. He did not disappoint! We enjoyed sitting with other owners and going to the paddock with everyone. We are looking forward to traveling to other tracks and hopefully will see some of our other horses run. I love my involvement with MR! Thanks for the opportunity.

MyRacehorse Hi Gena, what a fun day for you to see Straight No Chaser account for his first graded-stakes placing. We're excited for his future and are grateful that you're part of the MRH community. I appreciate you including the Racing Form in some of your overviews of upcoming races. It's especially helpful when a racing manager provides an overview via video and I can read along with him/her while listening to their comments. As a current owner of 34 micro shares in MRH horses, I have found this experience as exciting as owning shares in a partnership, something I have done in the past. So if you are reading this review and thinking about buying shares, don't hesitate to join a first class organization at a very reasonable cost!

Welcome to horse ownership. If you expect to hit a home run with every purchase, you may as well stick to chess. MRH strives to assemble offerings in a very tough biz. My first horse was Lane Way and, though not a champion, he is part of my family. 2YOs are a crap shoot. Patience or the sales ring are their venue. I am a retired groom with more years at the windows than there have been Super Bowls! If you are in it for the money, go to Vegas. We love horses!

MyRacehorse Hi William, we love your mindset! Yes, this is a tough business where guarantees are not part of the equation. But racehorse ownership can be plenty of fun and we're delighted that you're enjoying yourself. Thank you for being part of the MRH community.

Dear MRH Team!! What an absolute treat!! I signed up for the lottery to go on a Barn Visit!! BOOM!! Won it!! What made it so sweet was that i own shares in Hero Status and Straight No Chaser and i even bought my girlfriend some gift shares and one of her horses happens to be Hero Status!! So she loved the news too! So off we go to Santa Anita for this fun field trip!! West Coast Racing Manager Joe Moran who i think is Top Notch in everything he does at MRH was there and Randy and they kept everyone safe as some just have to always veer off track as they do in the original Willy Wonka movie!! Veruka Salt style!! Hah.. Not kidding! 1st out came that handsome boy Straight No Chaser!! He posted at attention for all to admire his statuesque body!!! Let everyone take selfies with him , feed him carrots and pet him up!! He is something special no doubt!! Dan Blacker has clearly done an amazing job with this big guy!! Thank you DB!! Next, we set off to see Hero Status !! I wish i could include a few videos i took, because they are priceless!! Hero Status , win lose or draw in his upcoming trip to run in the Razorback up in Arkansas is literally busting out of his skin!! Mark Glatt has Hero in fantastic shape!! He is ready!!! This obviously just being my opinion lol.. Not gambling advice!! What an experience!! I don’t work for MRH, but this is the stuff you can’t put a number on in value!! Its these types of things which if your in this for the right reasons , you will be on top of the moon too!!! We sure were on this amazing private trip to the Barn!! Thank you Joe and Randy for answering all our questions and making us all feel so safe!! I mean these two horses are Monsters!! Such good Monsters!! The Best!! Love them and Love MRH!! All the Best, Chris and Carlisa 💕

MyRacehorse Hi Chris and Carlisa, we are so happy to read about the magical time you had visiting Hero Status and Straight No Chaser. I just bought a couple of shares in two horses. Hopefully they will pay off, but I really don't care. When I was young some of my best memories were going to the track with my dad and uncles. I lost my dad last year and I can't think of a greater way to keep those memories alive then giving me a reason to go to the track.

I am looking forward to this year. Have 7 horse after losing Salute to America and Going to Vegas, but with the two strapping 4-year-olds, Duke of Love and Chasing Time I can't wait for the spring. Also, a couple of very well breed three-year-olds, Rosie's Alibi and Cable Boss. And a couple of nice two-year-olds, Lady Blitz and Enchante '21. It gives me hope for some graded stakes this year. Just love the gratification this gives me.

My wife's family is heavily involved with the horse racing industry at smaller "cheap" tracks. She knows the ins and outs of the business having had a father and now a brother who trains horses, mainly cheaper claiming types. She also knows the costs of horse ownership and pushed me to buy some shares through MRH. We started with Got Stormy and now we own Kanthari who just broke his maiden at Gulfstream and Who Runs The World who is currently unraced. We are looking forward to purchasing more horses in the future and to quote my wife this is a great way to get involved in thoroughbred horse ownership without "losing your shirt" since MRH never asks for more monetary input after the initial purchase price. It is a great way to get the average man (or woman) involved in this great sport! Keep it up MRH!

MyRacehorse Hi Paul, thank you for your kind words. We loved reading about your wife's family involvement in racing and how that led you both to MRH. It was such a thrill to have Got Stormy in the MRH stable for her final year of racing, and now it's exciting to dream about Kanthari's future after his splashy win on debut, as well as experiencing the anticipation of Who Runs the World's career debut. We thank you and your wife for your continued support and look forward to seeing you both at the races in 2023.

Dream Come True

As a former groom (for both TB's and Standarbred), I have always wanted to be an owner, or just be more involved in racing. Thanks to MR, this dream has come true. I went into this small venture (I only have 3 horses in my stable) with eyes wide open because I understand the ups and downs of racing. Getting the updates, understanding the process, the occasional win pictures, or just being able to watch "my" horses race live is just so fun and entertaining. It's an opportunity to experience the roller coaster ride of ownership without the huge price tag that comes with it. Now that I live in FL, I look forward to a weekend or two at Gulfstream, and I live less than 45 minutes from Ocala and the historic OBS! Keep up the good work, MR. We may not get rich from this program, but it sure as heck is a lot of fun!

MyRacehorse Hi Robin, our team is so pleased to read that you're enjoying your experience at MRH. We love the spirit you bring to our community. Let's keep the winners rolling with a hefty dose of fun at our events thrown into the mix. We look forward to seeing you soon at one of our upcoming events and at the track. I've been very enthusiastic about MRH from the time I bought shares in my 1st two horses and a share in the Super Star bundle. But now after watching how fast the teams are unloading horses they deem unflattering to MFR, is making me reconsider my future participation. It's become day trading more than an 'investment'. They are quickly turning horses with promise to the sales ring to be sold or placed in low claiming races. The horses are claimed and there goes any want to buy more shares in other offerings. My first filly was claimed after 3 races in which she had wins and placing. She has since had 15 starts after leaving MRH ownership.

MyRacehorse First, we want to thank-you for being a supporter of MyRacehorse and at the same time express our understanding around the frustration of losing horses in your stable. The reality is that this is one of the most challenging dynamics our team must navigate; balancing the desire to keep our horses in the stable so the owners can enjoy and race them and also knowing when to make them available in claiming races or even a sale/auction. That matter is further complicated as we often have partners in the horse itself, and we want to ensure we are good participants with these very important stakeholders as well. There is this ongoing balance between the economics of managing your thoroughbred and ensuring he or she can remain in the stable. As you may know, we have large stables throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, managing over 120 horses for more than 50,000 owners. The horse's well-being will always be our primary priority, on and off the track. Our second priority is to both maximize the ownership experience by providing the perks of ownership (content, access to the horse, race-day privileges) and the investment (purse money, expense management, and resale value). In Australia and the UK, claiming races are not particularly prevalent; instead, they lean on handicapped races, allowing owners to place their horses in competitive spots, regardless of their class, with a chance to win and earn purse money. In the United States, however, almost 70% of our races are claiming races, and we are basically void of handicapped races. We have our traditional allowance conditions of Non-winners of 1,2, and 3 races and then its stakes or… claiming. On top of that, our NW1, NW2, and NW3 are highly competitive, and the vast majority of horses bred in the United States never achieve a speed figure that would allow them to work through those conditions successfully, so what happens instead, they are most often entered into the claiming races to be competitive. We can tell you, as a manager of a global stable, we far prefer the handicap approach, allowing horses to be competitive and the owners to keep their horses longer, but unfortunately, that is just not the landscape here in the US. If you want to be competitive and are not in the top echelon of racing, you will run for a claiming tag. Horses love to run, owners are passionate about watching their horses compete, and fans are eager to bet on competitive races. These claiming races allow all of this to happen, but the upside comes with the inherent risk of your horse being claimed. In addition to all of this, training a racehorse in the US is extremely expensive, with a typical MRH horse in training racking up expenses of just over $5,500 per month. So you need to be competitive and win races, or else you are burning through cash very quickly. With our model, we have been increasing cash reserves with recent offerings to give us more and more optionality, and that will help, but it will not change the fact that many of our horses will need to either be sold for breeding, retired, or entered into a claiming race. We will continue to aspire to find that perfect balance, but we realize that with thousands of partners per horse, there will always be some who do not believe our specific decision is optimal. We can promise to continue assessing, listening, and optimizing to maximize the ownership experience.

Terrible experience from start to finish. Had shares of the chad brown bundle, of the three horses, all seemed to turn out lame so far. For the money paid, the bad news just seems to layer every week. For the money you pay I don’t really understand what you get in return. Been a fan my entire life, but don’t really see the point or thrill of this.

MyRacehorse Hi Paul, Sorry to hear your disappointment and we understand. This bundle certainly has had a tough go of it but is a microcosm of what one faces as an owner in this tough but rewarding business. Unfortunately, horses get injured, don't make the races, and underperform. Every owner (whether your with MRH or doing it on your own) will end up with those circumstances. That's one of the reasons why we've consistently expressed to partners the importance of diversifying their stables. While we try to do that when offering bundles, three horses isn't a sufficient size for diversification in this case. In the past our bundles have included Graded Stakes winners including Moonlight d'Oro and Sixtythreecaliber, and multiple stakes winner Provocateur which have helped offset the inevitable horses who won't make the races, underperform to expectations, etc. We hope you'll reconsider the ownership experience moving forward and would be happy to talk with you in further detail to help you achieve your ownership goals and experiences.

I currently have shares in all 6 of the babies in training, It is awesome watching the videos and reading the training reports . I am not sure of the extent of the ownership with the shares that I have , If MRH owns these horses throughout their racing careers and into the breeding sheds ,do the shareholders reap any of the benefits from the breeding ?

MyRacehorse Hi Ronald, So great to hear you're enjoying your experience. We're enjoying those training videos and reports as well! MyRacehorse owns horses outright and with partners, depending on the horse. You can always find ownership information disclosed on the horse's offering page. If we're lucky to have a horse become a desirable stallion prospect they'd be sold to a stallion farm and MRH owners would receive their share of the final sales price. Same thing for fillies, we'll sell them at public auction where MRH owners receive their share of the final sales price.

I can say for myself and all the MyRaceHorse customers that purchased shares in Going to Vegas are some of the happiest fans at the moment. IS Going to Vegas And Justify the only two that have returned a positive return? If not , I still enjoyed watching races besides the small distributions to our accounts, we still cashed WPS EX TIR and SUPR on site and the wagering parlos, I hope Sarrocchi and all the new acquisitions are successful.

MyRacehorse Hi Marvin, We've had a number of horses be profitable ventures for their partners including Going to Vegas, Street Band, and Vertical Threat. With another good year of racing, there should be a few more that add to that bunch. While making a profit in the industry is very difficult, it is possible. Congrats on your experience with GTV and best of racing luck in 2023!

Hey wow

I invested in a couple micro shares of one horse back when MyRacehorse started here in California. I didn't do it to make any money, I did it because from the time I was a little girl, I dreamed of one day owning a racehorse. Then I went to see her run at a MyRacehorse event and I was hooked! Now I have several horse in "my stable" and just this month I'm actually in the black. Hey wow... what a fun bonus!

MyRacehorse Hey Mimi, You're a terrific racing ambassador. Costs of ownership are very expensive and most horses won't earn enough to cover their training and care costs, let alone their purchase price. But it is possible! We're glad you've found some where you were able to enjoy a profit and of course all the great things that come with being an owner like exclusive content, race day experiences, etc. Best of racing luck in 2023!

MyRacehorse is a brilliant concept which is executed flawlessly. The MRH team not only keeps us up to date on our horses’ progress but is incredibly easy to reach in a one-on-one basis. Just fantastic experience all around! We will certainly keep purchasing shares in future offerings!

Bought my first horse in March 2020 with Lane Way. MRH has improved in all areas. The educational pieces and updates are first class. This is the only micro share partnership for me in the future. I own large percentages with other syndicates and breeder/trainers but mixing in several micro shares gives any race fan the ultimate experience. Looking forward to the future with MRH.

MyRacehorse Hi Derek, we loved reading your comments and thank you for being a continued supporter of MRH. We look forward to keeping our momentum going strong in 2023. Good luck with your horses!

New here.

I am a new owner referred by a close friend. I am so very impressed with the entire professionalism of MyRaceHorse and excited to be a part of the MRH experience. One thing I would like to see though is the full pedigrees of all MRH horses that we own. I was happy to see them upon choosing a purchase but still like to see pedigrees when watching a horse race, or finding out they won a race, etc.

MyRacehorse Hi Louise, welcome to MRH; we're so happy to have you as part of our community. We appreciate your valuable feedback as we are always looking for ways to improve our partners' experiences. Love to see that Nearco was a favorite of yours; what an outstanding racehorse and a phenomenal breed-shaping sire.
