Sunshine Coast race 5 @ 4:23pm: Firebolt (8) - Nikita beriman
Firebolt heads to the races again at the Sunshine Coast on ANZAC Day. Last start she was seen on a very heavy deck, but gets some better conditions this time in. As we’ve mentioned in previous previews for Firebolt, she needs the race run to suit for her to have her chance. In this case, she is hard fit and probably needs a genuine tempo so that she can grind out her opposition. Given that it is a class 3, there are some weak horses in here. Therefore, I think she is a Top 3 chance.

Randwick Race 7 @ 3:00pm: starmae (7) - rachel king
I really like the chances of Starme here 2nd up. She gets to a metro Saturday meet for the first time, but she deserves her opportunity. She went to the lead first up over 1100m, which probablt wasn’t suitable for her in hindsight. From barrier 7 here, I think Rachel can find a position with cover and hopefully surge late. She was beaten by the favourite, Lonhro’s Queen, last start. However, Starmae gets a 2kg weight swing on her here, yet is double the price. Off that, I think Starmae is a strong each way chance.

Randwick Race 8 @ 3:35pm: glory daze (8) - anna roper
Glory Daze heads to a very tough BM100 2nd up after a very encouraging run first up against Bear On The Loose. With Anna Roper in the saddle, he will jump at 53kgs and won’t know himself at that weight. However, given the strength of this field with the likes of Ducasse, Green Fly and Major Beel, I probably couldn’t have him here. Although, if the rain comes and we see a really heavy deck, he comes into the picture.

Moonee Valley Race 9 @ 5:10pm: lauding (7) - Logan Bates
Good to have this galloper back at the races after a successful campaign last time in. He comes here first up off 2 quiet trials, and isn’t necessarily the most effective fresh horse, with only 1 placing from 3 attempts first up. However, he gets to the Valley, which he absolutely loves, and hopefully, he can hit the line strongly. He is arguably the most effective horse in the field at The Valley, and off that, I could see him sneaking into the Top 5, however, I’m not overly confident.
