New Offerings Heading to Baffert and Pletcher

weekend preview - Swimming in Sydney

Saturday

Ninja - Rosehill Race 3 @12:45pm aest - barrier 4 - Andrew Adkins - 1300m

Ninja heads back to the races following his demolition job two weeks ago at Kembla Grange, where he put a small field to the sword to run out at an 11.3 length victor. Showing us that he can handle a wet track, the current track conditions look to suit, as Rosehill is rated a heavy 10. One of the more exciting horses in our stable going into a busy Spring, we cannot wait to see if Ninja can add to his maiden win on tomorrow!

Nana's Wish - Rosehill race 6 @2:30PM AEST - Barrier 3 - Braith Nock (a2) - 1900m

Nana’s Wish gets back to the races after last week’s race meeting at Randwick was postponed. The conditions will be a big suitor with 4 of her 5 career wins coming on rain-affected ground. Nana’s Wish has hit a purple patch of form this preparation, accumulating two wins and a placing thus far. Having never run over the 1900m trip, it presents as a new challenge however, her breeding suggests that she will thrive. We cannot wait to see how she fares this weekend!

Our sassy lady - warracknabeal race 6 @3:01pm aest - barrier 5 - Olivia east (a4) - 2015m

Our Sassy Lady looks to be the pick of the bunch this Saturday, and that is saying something. Being a mare with a 4kg claiming apprentice steering, Our Sassy Lady will carry a light 54kgs, the lowest in the field. The track is currently rated a soft 5 which will suit OSL as she thrives on a track with the sting taken out of it. The stable have seemed to have her worked out, and following her 3rd place finish at Warnambool last start, we believe that she is on an upward trajectory.

Sunday

Charming Nic - Sunshine Coast race 2 @1:23pm aest - barrier 8 - Corey Sutherland (a2) - 1000m

Charming Nic returns to the races following a 40 day let-up. His last start was an impressive 2nd placing at Sunshine Coast over 1000m where he stormed home late to finish 0.28 lengths off the eventual winner. If he can bring the same sort of late speed and relax during the early to middle stages of the race, he will be hard to beat.

Chilli crab - wyong race 2 @1:00pm aest - Barrier 10

We see Chilli Crab back at the races for the first time since her 2nd place finish at Port Macquarie on Debut. Her first trial at Warwick Farm was impressive, taking out the heat by 1.2 lengths before finishing 0.84 lengths behind our very own Apocalyptic in her second trial. She looks to be in for a BIG Spring, and we cannot wait to see her kick off her preparation this weekend at Wyong.

Odds correct as of 12:45pm AEST 14th. August.
