bear on the loose - rosehill race 8 @ 3:05pm - barrier 10 - zac wadick - 2400m
Bear On The Loose gets his chance at stakes success when he competes in the Winter Cup tomorrow at Rosehill. He has had some tough, honest runs up on speed this preparation, including his last start, when he was just overran by MyRacehorse’s Glory Daze, who then went on to run 3rd in a stakes race at his next start. That presents as good form for this, and he should get a relatively easy time of it tomorrow in front. Touristic is the obvious danger, coming off a victory in the stakes race that Glory Daze was in, which ties a direct form reference to Bear. I think it’s a two horse race, good luck!
Sunday
karasmatic - wangaratta race 3 @ 11:50am - barrier 17 - brad rawiller - 1300m
Karasmatic heads back to the races on Sunday following a 2nd placing at Seymour last start. Initially, that run was disappointing given that he was $1.20 favourite; however, the eventual winner, Our Wishbone, has backed up his win with a subsequent victory in a BM64 at Ballarat on Wednesday, winning by 4.75L. If he can bring the same form, he should be winning here. The only knock on him is the barrier (17), which is slightly concerning, but if he’s good enough, he’s good enough.
