Bur Dubai returns to Flemington for his third-up run in the Group 3 Archer Stakes, a ballot-exempt race for the Melbourne Cup. Victory here would secure him a place in the race that stops a nation.
He has come up with the perfect draw in barrier three and is expected to roll forward and take up a position at the head of the field. With few other genuine speed influences present, he should be able to dictate terms comfortably in front.

The Enchanter heads north to Doomben to contest a BM70 over 1110 metres. He currently sits as the first emergency, but the stable remains confident a spot will open for him to take his place in the field.
He will benefit from a valuable 3kg claim, reducing his weight to just 53kgs. Combined with an ideal draw in barrier 8, this gives him every chance to find the right position in running. With these conditions in his favour, we are confident he can be highly competitive in this field.
