Karasmatic - wodonga race 2: 12:41pm
Great to see this guy back at the races following 3 very impressive trial wins. He is also accepted to run Tuesday, but either option looks suitable for him. I think he will be winning this. He is certainly fit enough and there has been some nice form come out of his trials, with Botanical Bay winning at Pakenham, following a trial at Caulfield Heath behind Karasmatic. He looks to have come back well this preparation and hopefully he can put it all together on Saturday.

moon jewel - doomben race 3: 12:53pm
Excited to see Moon Jewel line up in a listed race on Saturday. She ran well first up without threatening, but I would be treating the 800m scamper as more of a trial for prize money. She’s at massive odds, which is expected given that a few key rivals have some proven 2yo form. She’s drawn wide, and Ethan Brown will likely send her to the back of the field, and hopefully she can run on.

Glory daze vs bear on the loose - randwick race 7: 2:30pm
They meet again! It’s a bit of a different set-up here, as both horses are now further along in their respective preparations. The track will be a huge factor in this race, with 15-50mm of rain expected to hit Randwick on raceday. I think there may be a chance that the meeting could get called off based on that. I expect that Glory Daze would probably handle the heavy ground better than Bear On The Loose, however, Bear On The Loose will be able to roll forward and put himself into the race. Bear also has to be fit enough, given how quickly he went last start in the Wagga Cup. If I had to choose, I would take Bear On The Loose, however, it’s hard to split them.

Firebolt - Sunshine coast race 8: 4:50pm
Firebolt heads back to the races and drops back to 1800m this time in, which I think she will benefit from. She’s only been going okay this prep, despite the fact that she has won a race. I’d like to see her start to build some consistency at this level of racing before I can be confident.
