Winner in the wild west!

3 runs from the weekened to stare down the barrel at – Kicking it off with a “Good Friday” in the wild west!

Anaballistic Wins at Ascot

Anaballistic returned in style with a dominant first-up win at Ascot, kicking off what looks to be a very exciting preparation. Trainer Simon Miller has been bullish about her talent leading into this campaign, and she certainly lived up to the hype with that performance.
A huge congratulations to all our Western Australian owners who enjoyed their first win on home soil — a special moment we hope is just the beginning. Here’s to many more to come!

Sneaky Sunrise

Sneaky Sunrise returned to the races on Saturday in the 1600m Mornington Guineas, tackling a tricky assignment from a wide draw in barrier 13. Originally, the plan was to ride her conservatively, settling at the rear before launching late down the straight. However, with the track upgraded to a Good 3 and on-pace runners dominating the earlier races, the stable made the call to ride her more positively out of the gates.
In hindsight, the decision proved costly. Caught three wide without cover, she never had the chance to find a rhythm or a spot to settle. Despite the tough run, Sneaky showed her usual grit, boxing on gamely to finish a credible fourth.

It was a solid effort in trying circumstances, and she’ll take improvement from the run. All eyes now turn to her next assignment, likely at Caulfield or Morphettville, where she’ll look to bounce back in style.

Jerry Can runs out of fuel

Fan Favourite Just Fine (Jerry) made the trip south to Mornington following a narrow second to Ceolwulf in the Neville Sellwood Stakes, bringing strong Sydney form into the race. Expectations were high that he would hold his own, especially stepping into Listed company.
However, it wasn’t to be. The tight-turning Mornington track didn’t suit him, and he was unable to quicken when the pressure came on around the 600m, eventually dropping out of contention.

He’ll now head back to Sydney to continue his preparation, with connections likely to target more suitable races over the Brisbane Winter Carnival
