Ninja holds on in Sydney, while others fail to fire.

ninja @ Rosehill - Holds on to win by 0.04 lengths!

Coming off a dominant 11.3 length victory at Kembla Grange two weeks ago, Ninja had to bring his best again, and did he ever, showing speed at both ends of the race. To Andrew Adkins admission, he went hard early out of the gates and probably could have waited until further down the straight to press the go button again on Ninja. Ninja showed that he has race craft and that he will be a horse to watch in the MRH colours for years to come. What a thrill it was to see him hold on for his second win in as many starts, with a well-deserved break now on the horizon following his first racing preparation, where he exceeded expectations.

Nana's wish @ rosehill - 9th

Nana’s Wish struggled at Rosehill on Saturday. The daughter of Belardo never really looked to get going along the straight and faded late after eventual winner, Amusing passed and ran in front of her. The stable will assess her, but she has had a her best preparation to date; culminating in two wins, a third and two fourths in her six starts.

Our sassy lady @ Warracknabeal - 2nd

Our Sassy Lady was narrowly beaten at Warracknabeal on Saturday, with her slow start proving costly. After jumping last, jockey Olivia East, decided to work hard along the back straight to find a more suitable position on the outside of the leader. Our Sassy Lady broke from the field at the 300m mark before kicking again at the 200m. Unfortunately, as she spent much of her energy getting to a suitable position early and she faded late to be beaten on the line. We have full confidence that she will be hard to beat next start.

Chilli crab @ wyong - 8th

It was a difficult watch for Chilli Crab fans this past Sunday, where the product of Written Tycoon never really got going. She was able to break cleanly from the barriers before settling on pace. Unfortunately, when she hit the bend, she was caught flat-footed and the field swiftly passed her. It was done and dusted from that point onwards, however, we suspect that she will have many excuses as her trials were promising.

Charming Nic @ Sunshine Coast - 5th

Jumping from the widest barrier is always difficult and we saw why on Sunday with Charming Nic being forced to settle at the rear of the field by two lengths. The McEvoy trained galloper covered the ground well and looked to be the winner when he hit the straight, unfortunately he never really let down and we didn’t see the explosive turn of foot that he has used in the past. He’ll come on from that run, watch his next start!
