Apocalyptic - Tea Rose stakes, Randwick, Race 6 @2:50pm - Barrier 8 - Tommy Berry
We now get to see Apocalyptic step out again, this time in the Group 2 Tea Rose Stakes, after making a big statement with her victory in the Furious Stakes. That win confirmed the promise she has always shown and stamped her as one of the fillies to watch throughout the Spring.
This will be another strong test, with talented rivals lining up, including Tupakara, who adds blinkers for the first time and looms as a genuine danger. While Apocalyptic will only get better as she stretches out further in trip, this race will provide another important measure of her class as she builds towards the Group 1 Flight Stakes.
Chicago King - Eagle Farm, Race 2 @1:24pm - Barrier 7 - Jaden lloyd
Chicago King returns to the races after a luckless second placing first-up under the care of Michael Freedman. He now heads to Eagle Farm for Race 2, a 1600m maiden, where he looks well placed to go one better.
With the benefit of that run under his belt and the step up in distance likely to suit, Chicago King shapes as a leading chance and will be hard to beat.

Engine of War steps out in the VRC Derby Preview after an impressive first-up victory in a 1500m maiden at Sandown. That performance suggested he has both the talent and the stamina to make his mark as the distances increase.
This will be his first real test against quality staying types, and it provides the perfect platform for him to stake his claim as the early favourite for the VRC Derby. We cannot we to see how he measures up as he takes the next step on the road to Flemington.
Chilli Crab - Nowra, Race 5 @4:15pm - barrier 9 - ms winona costin
Chilli Crab heads into a BM58 full of confidence after breaking through for her maiden win last start. With that victory under her belt and clear improvement to come, she looks well placed to be very hard to beat again.
