Originally purchased by MyRacehorse at the 2022 OBS June 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale and later sent to trainer Josie Carroll, War Safe raced seven times in the MyRacehorse silks.

After five races with Caroll and a career-high 64 Beyer Speed Figure, following his second-place finish in a maiden special weight at Woodbine the gelding was transferred to trainer Ethan West where he had the opportunity to compete against lesser competition at Turfway Park. He was given the opportunity to both sprint and route against the lowest competition he had faced in his career, but proved his heart was not in racing.

This realization ultimately led to the decision to responsibly retire War Safe from racing while sound and healthy enough to look for a new home and a second career.

War Safe was accepted into the New Vocations adoption program where he officially found his forever person!

His adopter and new owner, Aleah, has been absolutely overjoyed with the son of Air Force Blue and eagerly anticipates witnessing his growth and development as her hunter jumper partner.

We want to thank New Vocations for connecting War Safe with Aleah, and Aleah for providing a forever home for this sweet boy. Here’s a charming picture of War Safe during his stay at New Vocations and some since arriving at his new home. Aleah was originally drawn to War Safe’s movement and physical ability and they have become a perfect match. Aleah reported he is friendly, easy to work with, very brave, and a fast learner. We are certainly excited to watch as the young duo continues to train and grow their partnership!
