Autumn Insider
Bjorn “G1” Baker
One of the MyRacehorse army’s favourite trainers has had a season to remember, adding the time honored Sydney Cup to his resume with seasoned stayer Arapaho taking out the two mile Group 1. Bjorn’s father Murray Baker won the 1992 edition making the occasion even more sentimental for the popular kiwi expat.
The victory had another layer of sentiment with Rachel King in the saddle. King is a favourite of ours following her G1 win on Just Fine and her incredible ride on King Kirk in the breeders plate last October. The win caps off a massive week for Bjorn coming off the high of a Doncaster win.
Our The Autumn Sun filly could not be in better hands going forward, and with her name now submitted to Racing Australia, excitement is building!
The Power of Yulong
The famous green and white checkered once again dominated the podium on Saturday with Treasurethe Moment and Via Sistina rising to Group 1 glory. Treasurethe Moment’s Oaks win was incredible and she is now the number one filly in the country. Via Sistina in the Queen Elizabeth further cemented herself as Australia’s golden girl.
MyRacehorses very own Sneaky Sunrise did a mighty job to run third Treasurethe Moment two starts ago and brings solid form into her Mornington Guineas race tomorrow.
Our Too Darn Hot/Awake The Stars colt, who we race in partnership with Yulong, has just returned to work with Anthony Freedman at Randwick. We are hopeful this promising colt can reach the heights of the many other Yulong horses.
Bur Dubai - Form Holding
With Bur Dubai enjoying a much deserved spell, we can’t help but sit back and take note of the form coming out of his win at The Valley on March 22nd. Through Irish Eyes, who finished 6th, beaten 2.72L behind Bur Dubai since came out and won well at Bendigo by 3L.
Bur Dubai is one of MyRacehorse’s most progressive and exciting gallopers. The strapping son on Night Of Thunder with a rating of 78 is well poised to make an impact in the Spring and we can not wait to have him back in work in the coming weeks.
