Nileist, by world-class stallion Pioneerof the Nile out of a mare by the legendary stallion A.P. Indy, was purchased for $26,000 at the Keeneland November Sale in 2018 as a 3-year-old colt. MyRacehorse was thrilled to acquire an honest prospect who vetted well and already, boasted four second-place finishes in his young career.

Nileist won his final start for MyRacehorse and partners, but was claimed that day for $6,250. The claim was later voided, however, and the decision was made to responsibly retire the son of Pioneerof the Nile and let him go out a winner.

Following the retirement decision, Nileist was moved from Golden Gate Fields to Premier Thoroughbreds to relax for a few weeks, kicking off the process of finding him a new home. California Retirement Management Account (CARMA) was very supportive of our decision and is committed to working with the racing industry to assist in the rehoming process.

Thanks to CARMA’s help in his rehoming process, Nilest has been absolutely living the dream in his new home in the Coachella Valley. If you have not yet seen, his new owner is extremely active on social media and continues to post pictures of Nileist along with her other retired racehorses on a daily basis.
