Million Dollar Heist!

Price-Kent Steal Group 1 Glory

Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr pulled off one of the great training coups of the season over the weekend, with their $8.50 outsider Globe toppling hot favourites Buckaroo ($2.70) and Treasurethe Moment ($1.60) in a thrilling finish. The stable also had fellow New Zealand import Hezashocka finishing strongly, further underlining their remarkable strike rate with Kiwi-bred talent.

This performance continues a proven pattern of success with New Zealand imports, a formula that has already produced stars like I’m Thunderstruck. It’s the same blueprint that gives us enormous confidence in our own Kiwi import, Engine of War. With his staying profile, toughness, and progressive nature, he looks perfectly placed to follow in those same footsteps as he heads toward his Derby targets.

Autumn Boy follows in his father's footsteps

Autumn Boy has stamped himself as a star of the spring, claiming the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas in commanding fashion, following in the footsteps of his famous sire, The Autumn Sun, who won the same race in 2018. Travelling sweetly in transit, he unleashed a powerful turn of foot at the 300-metre mark to put the race beyond doubt, showcasing the brilliance and composure that defined his sire’s career.

This win not only cements Autumn Boy’s place among the top three-year-olds in the country but also strengthens his credentials as a future stallion prospect, likely to become the first of The Autumn Sun’s sons to stand at stud. It continues a remarkable season for The Autumn Sun’s progeny, following Autumn Glow’s effortless Group 1 Epsom Handicap victory just last weekend.

With The Autumn Sun’s stock on fire, there’s never been a better time to get involved. There are only 500 shares remaining in Pacifico, our very own filly by The Autumn Sun. Don’t miss your chance to join the next chapter of this rising sire’s legacy — secure your shares now before it’s too late.

Sires on Fire

Point Barrow (by Blue Point) was outstanding at Caulfield on Saturday, taking out the Thoroughbred Club of Australia Plate with a devastating turn of foot. Coming from back in the field and defying the on-speed track pattern, she showed the trademark acceleration that Blue Point continues to stamp on his progeny. We can’t wait to see our own Blue Point filly, Sapphire Rose, return from her well-earned spell and follow in those same winning footsteps.

Hidden Motive, a son of Capitalist, showed tremendous determination to lead all the way in the Group 2 Roman Consul Stakes, holding off the talented Beadman and Golden Slipper winner Marhoona in a gripping finish. His performance further underlines Capitalist’s ability to produce genuine Group-class horses — giving us great confidence that Kung Fu Kid will be ready to hit the ground running once he fully matures.

Linderman (by Lonhro) was another standout performer on Saturday, taking out the $2 million Hill Stakes in style. Despite a wide draw, Nash Rawiller navigated perfectly to secure the win. With Lonhro producing two quality winners over the weekend, we’re excited to see Moon Jewel back at the races this Wednesday after an impressive trial, looking to add to her sire’s winning momentum
