MAGIC MILLIONS 2025: A WEEK TO REMEMBER

The Gold Coast Magic Millions Carnival is always a highlight of the racing calendar, and this year was no exception. From unforgettable moments with our owners to four incredible new yearling purchases and a determined run from Infatuation, MyRacehorse had a week to remember!

A Night of Racing, Ownership & Good Company

There’s nothing better than bringing our owners together to celebrate what we love most – racing, great horses, and the MyRacehorse experience. Our Magic Millions event was the perfect way to kick off the week, with Emma Freedman as host and Michael Freedman, Luke Hilton, and Damon Gabbedy sharing their insights in an engaging and intimate evening led by the MyRacehorse team.

Owners had the chance to hear firsthand about our latest yearling purchases, the process behind selecting future stars, and what it takes to get them from the sales ring to the racetrack. The excitement was building as we also turned our attention to Infatuation, who was gearing up to take on the TAB Fillies & Mares Magic Millions race the following day. The energy in the room was electric – owners, trainers, and the MyRacehorse team all sharing in the anticipation of what was to come.

Four Future Stars Join the MyRacehorse Team

The Magic Millions Yearling Sale is one of the most prestigious in the world, and this year, we walked away with four outstanding new yearlings – each selected for their athleticism, pedigree, and long-term potential.

Frankel x Of Good Cheer filly – trained by Ciaron Maher

This filly is pure class. By Frankel, one of the greatest racehorses of all time and now a champion sire, she exudes quality and presence. She’s from the family of Group 1 winners and has all the hallmarks of an elite galloper. With Ciaron Maher in charge of her development, she’ll have every chance to shine.

Wootton Bassett x Tessneem colt – trained by Michael Freedman

A colt with power and substance, he’s by the highly sought-after Wootton Bassett, whose progeny are making waves on the international stage. His dam, Tessneem, hails from a deep, quality pedigree, and under Michael Freedman’s watchful eye, we expect him to develop into an elite performer.

The Autumn Sun x Islands filly – trained by Bjorn Baker

A daughter of The Autumn Sun, this filly has both elegance and athleticism. The Autumn Sun was an absolute superstar on the track, and his offspring are showing immense promise. She has the scope to be an exciting 3YO classic contender and is in the perfect hands with Bjorn Baker.

Too Darn Hot x Awake The Stars colt – trained by Anthony & Sam Freedman

This colt oozes quality and precocity, and being by Too Darn Hot—one of the most exciting young sires in the world – he has all the credentials to be a top-class racehorse. He possesses a sharp, athletic build and looks every bit a future star for Anthony & Sam Freedman.

Each of these yearlings was handpicked to join the MyRacehorse stable, and shares are available now – visit our website to get involved.

Infatuation’s Gritty Magic Millions Performance

The weather threw a curveball at Saturday’s race meet, with heavy rain causing interruptions throughout the day. But Infatuation showed her trademark determination in the re-scheduled Friday night affair in the TAB Fillies & Mares Magic Millions race, finishing a gutsy 4th place.

Jumping well from the gates, she put herself right on speed under Tim Clark, proving her tenacity in testing conditions. While she could have settled a little more, she dug deep in the straight, keeping up the fight and holding off challengers to finish in a tight top four – well clear of the rest of the field.

It was yet another tough, honest performance from this special mare, who has given her owners so many thrilling moments throughout her career.

A Week to Remember

From the excitement of new yearlings and unforgettable owner experiences to Infatuation’s brave run on race day, the 2025 Magic Millions Carnival was one for the books. Until next year!
