Dubawi – Stallion Update

Hi owners,

It is the start of the Dante Festival today at York, so it is inevitable that Dubawi will have a runner!

Life Of Dreams won a Newbury maiden first time out, making her a 10/1 shot for the Cazoo Oaks. It will be interesting to see what price she will be after her race.

– 3:35: Tattersalls Musidora Stakes (Group 3) – Life Of Dreams (11/4 second Favourite).

Syndicated Race Report

Andrew Balding:
‘Syndicated was fine this morning. He jogged up sound. I think we probably need a week to assess him in training before going firm on our next move. Obviously it was a steep learning curve for him and I think he will improve enormously for the race. He has natural ability which is obviously a fundamental requirement! We just need to get him to relax a little better in his race.. he will certainly stay further when we can achieve this and I think he has a bright future. Yours, Andrew”

Syndicated Race Recap

Syndicated enjoyed his first day at school in a very competitive maiden on the Newmarket Downs, where he learnt a lot under the hands of Rob Hornby.

He broke well out of the stalls but found himself keen on the front end due to the slow pace being set. After tackling the dip at Newmarket, he stayed on nicely towards the line, but it was too late as Miami Girl kicked clear.

Enjoy the video, especially the part when Rob Hornby states, “he is going to be a nice one going forward”!

We will update you when we hear how the colt has come out of his race.

Syndicated Race Details

SYNDICATED will make his racecourse debut at Newmarket on Sunday. The “Best Odds On The Betfair Exchange British EBF Maiden Stakes”, to be run over 5 furlongs, and a race limited to Maiden 2-year-olds. There are 6 runners, and our horse will come out of stall 4. The race is to be shown live on RacingTV.

The race is due off at 1.15pm GMT, and the excellent Rob Hornby will ride. Rob knows our horse well from riding work on him at Kingsclere, and is a big part of trainer Andrew Balding’s team at home.

As you have seen in videos, your colt has progressed nicely in his recent gallops, and is fit and well ahead of his career debut.

Two of the other runners (CLOUD FLYER and MIAMI BAY) have racecourse experience. Both are trained by George Boughey, and are likely to do better in time, but their form so far is not eye catching.

The other runners are making their race debuts. BEAUTIFUL SUNRISE has a decent pedigree (by Exceed and Excel), and his trainer James Ferguson is in good form.

John Ryan’s runner WARMINSTER was purchased at the recent Tattersalls Craven Breeze-Up sale for 135,000 Guineas. By top stallion Ardad, this colt looks a decent type on paper. Jockey Tom Marquand is an eye catching booking for a yard not noted for precocious 2-year-olds.

MIAMI GIRL completes the line up, and runs in the colours of Amo Racing. Trainer Richard Hannon has a superb record with 2-year-olds, and it will be no surprise to see this daughter of Cotai Glory figure prominently in the betting.

As befits a Newmarket maiden at the Guineas meeting, this will be a competitive contest despite the small field.

SYNDICATED is a most exciting prospect, and we are delighted that he will be the first of many MyRacehorse runners in the United Kingdom in the months and years ahead.

Dubawi / J Wonder Update

Exciting news !! Our stunning Dubawi colt has been named SYNDICATED.

You can see from the video of him working on the Kingsclere gallops on Saturday morning that he has progressed really well in recent days. Andrew Balding could not be happier with him, and I’m delighted to report that he has made an entry for our boy on Sunday, May 1st at Newmarket. The race will form part of the 1000 Guineas card and is a 5-furlong contest for 2-year-olds.

Subject to change, the race is due off at 1.15 pm. More news and race thoughts to follow after final declarations to race are made on Friday morning.
