SYNDICATED will make his racecourse debut at Newmarket on Sunday. The “Best Odds On The Betfair Exchange British EBF Maiden Stakes”, to be run over 5 furlongs, and a race limited to Maiden 2-year-olds. There are 6 runners, and our horse will come out of stall 4. The race is to be shown live on RacingTV.
The race is due off at 1.15pm GMT, and the excellent Rob Hornby will ride. Rob knows our horse well from riding work on him at Kingsclere, and is a big part of trainer Andrew Balding’s team at home.
As you have seen in videos, your colt has progressed nicely in his recent gallops, and is fit and well ahead of his career debut.
Two of the other runners (CLOUD FLYER and MIAMI BAY) have racecourse experience. Both are trained by George Boughey, and are likely to do better in time, but their form so far is not eye catching.
The other runners are making their race debuts. BEAUTIFUL SUNRISE has a decent pedigree (by Exceed and Excel), and his trainer James Ferguson is in good form.
John Ryan’s runner WARMINSTER was purchased at the recent Tattersalls Craven Breeze-Up sale for 135,000 Guineas. By top stallion Ardad, this colt looks a decent type on paper. Jockey Tom Marquand is an eye catching booking for a yard not noted for precocious 2-year-olds.
MIAMI GIRL completes the line up, and runs in the colours of Amo Racing. Trainer Richard Hannon has a superb record with 2-year-olds, and it will be no surprise to see this daughter of Cotai Glory figure prominently in the betting.
As befits a Newmarket maiden at the Guineas meeting, this will be a competitive contest despite the small field.
SYNDICATED is a most exciting prospect, and we are delighted that he will be the first of many MyRacehorse runners in the United Kingdom in the months and years ahead.
