Trainer Tony McEvoy provided a pre-race update on Deep Point, recorded late last night. He arrived at Angaston on Friday evening and has settled in well. He is in great condition and looks very well placed today to kick off this preparation.
He is going around in Race 1 at Murray Bridge 12.05pm local (12.35pm AEST)
We will be drawing winners at 3pm TODAY so if you would like to attend, please enter ASAP and be ready to confirm your attendance between 3-4pm. We are still finalising exact numbers but we anticipate a good number of tickets from the race club. Note that Murray Bridge is approximately 1 hour’s drive from Adelaide.
We will be in touch with updates from the stable in the coming days. Good luck to all owners!
Trainer Calvin McEvoy has provided an update on Deep Point that you can watch above. Following a solid hit out this morning, and providing he pulls up well, the team are considering entering him for a 1,000m race next Wednesday at Murray Bridge.
We’ll provide a further update once a decision has been made.
Deep Point once again impressed Trainer Calvin McEvoy, winning his jump out today on a heavy track over 800m. He’ll have one more jump out to sharpen him up before heading to the races. You can watch the video above for Calvin and jockey Linda Meech’s thoughts on the run.
Trainer Tony McEvoy has provided an update on Deep Point.
He has come through the jump out well and will head to a trial at Stawell on 21 April. This should sharpen him up nicely, and all going well, the stable will look to find a suitable race for him after that.
Deep Point really pleased Trainer Calvin McEvoy and Jockey Maddie Lloyd in his jump out over 850m today at Ararat. You can view the replay as well as jockey and trainer thoughts attached. Deep Point is in the red MyRacehorse silks.
Deep Point left the gates cleanly, leading the group around the corner under a strong hold, before quickening at his own pace to win the jump out.
He’s likely to have another jump out in two weeks and providing he remains on track, the stable will look for a suitable race for him after that.
