‘Syndicated was fine this morning. He jogged up sound. I think we probably need a week to assess him in training before going firm on our next move. Obviously it was a steep learning curve for him and I think he will improve enormously for the race. He has natural ability which is obviously a fundamental requirement! We just need to get him to relax a little better in his race.. he will certainly stay further when we can achieve this and I think he has a bright future. Yours, Andrew”
Syndicated enjoyed his first day at school in a very competitive maiden on the Newmarket Downs, where he learnt a lot under the hands of Rob Hornby.
He broke well out of the stalls but found himself keen on the front end due to the slow pace being set. After tackling the dip at Newmarket, he stayed on nicely towards the line, but it was too late as Miami Girl kicked clear.
