Written Tycoon x Taqaseem – Report

Hi owners,

An update on your Written Tycoon x Taqaseem colt has been provided from the stable.

He has continued to handle all work asked of him incredibly well, and is enjoying himself.

Today, your colt travelled from Rosehill to the Flemington stables, where he will continue his education. The move down to Victoria will give him a good opportunity to learn with Wayne Hawkes and the team, while also providing him with the experience running anti-clockwise.

“The colt is a really nice horse and has been thriving on the work we have been doing with him, we will just see how far he takes us this preparation.” – Hawkes Racing

We will keep you updated on his progress

Regal Rebel Update

Regal Rebel has bounced out of her race in good order. She jogged once around the main track at Saratoga, a mile and an eighth, this morning. After Regal Rebel’s tough race last week, Rob Atras said that she will have some easy training before finding another race for her after shipping back to Belmont.

Search Engine Workout Report

Search Engine had his fourth 5-furlong work this morning. Our 2-year-old Flatter colt worked in comapny with a 2-year-old filly named Sassy Sagey. The duo covered the ground in 1:00.80. This was the fastest work of the day going that distance at Turfway Park. Assistant Mike Johnson was pleased with the work mentioning “he went really good and had a great gallop out.”

Moonee Valley – Track Gallop

Hi owners,

Please see attached video of Mac ‘N’ Cheese’s trackwork gallop from Moonee Valley this morning (inside with the nose roll).
She’s running with fellow three-year-old Stakes winner, Three Kings (also trained by Tony & Calvin McEvoy).

Tony also appeared on SENTrack this morning with Andrew Bensley where he provided an overview of her workout.

We look forward to sending around more info once the fields are released tomorrow.

Forbidden Kingdom Update

Forbidden Kingdom is doing great since his debut win on August 21st. The 2-year-old colt will train up to the Grade 1 American Pharoah Stakes on October 1st at Santa Anita.

Note, the American Pharoah is contested at the one mile and one-sixteenth distance which would be stretching the 2-year-old out after only one start. Trainer Richard Mandella said if he feels the training becomes too much for the colt we will change plans but he’s doing great and feels he can handle it.

The American Pharoah Stakes is a Breeders’ Cup “Win and You’re In” Challenge race for the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile in November.
