Soul Beam worked a half mile in 50.1 seconds this morning at Golden Gate. Nick Hines of Battle Born Racing has been persistent with the Pleasanton racing office who say they’ll get a race to go by July 6th. Entries for July 4th were insufficient.
Noble Goddess has been entered in the 10th race at Ellis Park on Saturday July 6th. Noble Goddess drew post 7 and David Cohen will be in the irons. It is a maiden special weight going 5.5 furlongs on the turf with a purse of $50,000.
Amers had her first work back this morning at Golden Gate. She went a real easy three furlongs in 40.6 seconds. You can see the rider standing in the stirrups taking it real easy. I’ll gradually ask her to pick it up moving forward.

Kiana’s Love worked 3 furlongs this morning in 37 seconds flat at San Luis Rey. She is on the outside of her workmate in the video. This was a nice breeze for Kiana as she was in cruise control.
Trainer Peter Miller says she is doing well and is pointing her towards an allowance race opening day, July 17th at Del Mar.
Dancing Destroyer worked a great half mile this morning in 47.2 seconds, out in 1:01 flat. She’s been pretty impressive in her works and I’m looking forward to getting her to the races. I decided not to enter her in the July 4th race to get her a few more works in between. As soon as they write the next maiden special weight that fits her we’ll be ready to go.
The race did not go for Sunday, June 30th. Soul Beam will be staying up north and will be entered right back for a race Thursday. The starter allowance was written as an extra for Thursday, July 4th. Entries will be taken on Saturday.
Team Mandella reports that Tizamagician worked a very nice four furlongs in 48.1 seconds yesterday although the clockers got him in 51 seconds. They said they really didn’t understand the time difference with the clockers but nevertheless were very happy.
