After a successful tip with Bur Dubai last week, I am looking to strike whilst the iron is hot! Oak Hill has had a great preparation. He won well first up, was a moral beaten 2nd up and was super impressive last start at The Valley. Low weight, drawn well for the Flemington straight. I’m keen.

He brings class from the Northern Hemisphere having races against some of the best in the world in Auguste Rodin, City of Troy and Goliath. We have already seen this form stack up with Middle Earth and I have no doubt that Zarakem will be able to place in this field. His first up run in Australia was in the Verry Elleegaant Stakes, where he rode softly, it looked like he was in a trial. I think we will step up and relish the 2000m. Have him for a place as Ceolwulf should take this out. Let’s OGE.

I rate this filly very highly, having closely followed her career to date since her first start. She has a dominant record, with 5 wins from 8 starts and never finishing worse than 2nd, and comes here after putting more than 5 lengths on another talented horse in Crocetti. She is the clear class horse in this race in my opinion, and while it’s her first time down the Flemington straight which can be tricky, if she’s anything near as good as she’s looked across the Tasman sea, she should be dismissing this field with ease and staking her claim as a top-line talent.
