Best Bets from MyRacehorse HQ
The team at MyRacehorse look around the tracks to provide you their best bet for the weekend.
- Tom C (A.K.A Tomasi) - Moonee Valley Race 3 - #13 Top Calibre
Alex Rae has a nice opinion of this horse – this proven winner is in striking distance and will relish all of the rain that has just bucketed down in Melbourne. Craig Williams on board is a tick, after an unbeaten first prep and the fact he should’ve won last start – this is a bet you can trust.

- Tom S (A.K.A Tense) - Rosehill Race 7 - #1 Ceolwulf
- I think Ceolwulf presents plenty of value this weekend in the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes. Remember, this horse was touted as the next “big thing” at the end of the spring, and now you’re getting $5.50 for him to win the George Ryder, in what looks to be a fairly competitive race. First up this preparation was essentially used as a barrier trial, where he flopped out the back and ran home in some very fast closing sectionals, crossing the line with Via Sistina, who’s since won another Group 1. He ended up pulling up slightly lame and therefore had to re-route his prep at the Canterbury Stakes, which was over a very unsuitable trip. He did the same thing that day and rattled home really well. He finally gets to a suitable distance here to win, and I think those first two runs have topped him off beautifully for this.

- Xavier (A.K.A Caveman) - Moonee Valley Race 1 # 7 BUR DUBAI
I am a money where your mouth is type of operator. MyRacehorse silks or not this is the best bet for the weekend. Will he stay? Yes he will. Will he carry the weight? Yes he will. Will he win? Yes he will. Go well.

- Fred (A.K.A Bones) - Rosehill Race 9 - #13 Private Harry
He set the racing world alight last preparation, winning 4 on the trot by a combined margin of 15 lengths! His most impressive win came in the $3,000,000 Sunlight, where he knocked off Golden Slipper winner Lady of Camelot by 2.4 lengths. Lady of Camelot has been running exceptionally well this autumn without winning, battling it out with some of the best in the country. Private Harry is first up and only having the singular preparation it is unclear whether he is at his best when fresh. He’s carrying 53kgs in the Galaxy and jumping from barrier 6. If he’s as good as they say he is, he should be winning. Can he add to his picket fence? #Ithinkhewill.

- Théo (A.K.A. The Flying Dumpling) - Moonee Valley Race 9 - #1 Jimmysstar
“Jimmy” has always shown promise throughout his career, but when he produced a booming finish to win his maiden Group 1 first-up in the Oakleigh Plate, he announced himself as a top-line sprinter. On a day where all eyes will be on Private Harry to announce his Everest credentials, I think Jimmy can do the same. He faces a similar field here with only the addition of Benedetta to raise any potential concern. Having drawn a much nicer barrier, and with even luck in running, should be very, very hard to beat, and thus is my clear best of the day.
