Best Bets from MyRacehorse HQ

The team at MyRacehorse look around the tracks to provide you their best bet for the weekend.

It takes a serious talent to head over to the UK and win a Group 1, but that’s exactly what Asfoora did last prep, taking out the Group 1 King Charles III Stakes during the Royal Ascot Carnival no less! While there is a slight fitness query, she flies first up (6:3-1-1) and certainly isn’t facing anything on the level of what she’s been racing against previously. I’m fully expecting her to notch up a win both here and in the G1 Robert Sangster Stakes before heading back north.

Banking on running 4th in a Melbourne Cup to be good enough form to win a Sydney Cup. I think the Handicapper has missed her. She loves Randwick! There is a query one her running out the trip, but as my grandma told me. Cream always rises to the top! She’s a good bet. Go well!

  • One of the best turn of foots you’ll see. Still very raw but jumps from an ideal barrier (5) and has a light weight (53kg). Watch her trials, they’re so impressive. She will sit off the speed and storm home down the Randwick straight. Let’s see if she’s in this kind of class or not. Has so much potential.

  • I backed this mare first up at Caulfield where she got way too far back on a leader bias day, yet still managed to make good ground and only lost by 1 length. She would’ve benefited fitness-wise from that effort and now gets to a bigger Bendigo track, where she can hopefully settle a little closer with Mertens in the saddle. She is one of the better horses in the race and the favourite would have to improve again in order to win this.

  • The King has found a HUGE VALUE BET here! I’m already in line to collect my winnings, you know what they say: when the king backs a pup, you’ll have a fill-up!
