New Horses Heading to Baffert and Pletcher

Best Bets from MyRacehorse HQ

The final Cox Plate as we know it, what a day!

I see no reason why this horse can’t win, and win well on Saturday. She comes out of the Thousand Guineas, where she was the only horse to make ground. Week back up off that and a lot of this field is coming from country maidens.

I said it at the start of the Spring before the Memsie, this mare is the best in the country. She will be back to the peak of her powers this weekend. Good luck all!

Tipping a maiden in a Group 1 is a touch risky – but I love what they’ve done with this horse so far this prep. After closing off well in the Dulcify from way back, they’ve opted to target this race. Will love the extra ground, likely settles back so the barrier doesn’t bother me too much. Out of a genuine WFA champion mare in Arcadia Queen, I think he is over the odds and a good bet in this race each-way.

Gets out to the mile, tick. Fit, tick. Barrier, tick. Ran 3rd to Transatlantic who has since won the Toorak Handicap. He’s that due for a win, being a bit of a tease by I think he’ll get the job done here.

Odds correct as of 10:00AM AEDT 24th October.
