Underrated gear change first up, bar plates (off). He ran really well behind Hard To Cross, going down by 0.3L, giving that horse 8kgs. 2nd up, will be fitter and the rating from his first up run this prep was a peak figure. Happy to back him.

She’ll be extremely hard to bit over this distance. Likes the Flemington straight and I expect her to be running well and winning.

Joliestar is obviously a very talented horse resuming here – but I don’t think there’s any better form in the country at the minute than Autumn Glow form. Gangsta Granny was very game in defeat behind the unbeaten mare (on a heavy track as well) and looks to have really improved this time in. Tipping a new star is born for the Hawkes team here.

Best horse in this race by some margin. Returns to the races after winning two impressively in his first racing preparation. He’s unbeaten and will look to continue it through this weekend. Only worry is Grand Prairie who is race fit.
